I have an AAORT from Portland Community College where I had a GPA of approximately 3.4. During my time there I took 19 credits per term for a year. I graduated with my degree in two years in 2013. I am currently pursuing my Bachelors at Pacific University. My major is sociology and I have a GPA of 3.1. My graduation year is 2016 and then I will pursue a Masters in Education.
Experience
I used to volunteer at an elementary school for a few years, and then a middle school. I currently live with a 5 and a 7 year old with whom I do homework and helped teach them to read. I want to be a tutor because my plan is to become a teacher. Tutoring will help me develop my style as a teacher and ensure that teaching is a good fit for me. I think that experience with children and with teaching is important for many things. Classes that I've taken include my elementary education class, and all of my sociology classes apply to sociology tutoring.
